Blessing Bags
Blessings Bags are distributed to 130 of our neighbors who are struggling with homelessness. You can help our friends by donating bags filled with various necessities, especially new socks. In addition to socks there are several kinds of items that would be ideal to fill a Blessings Bag with. First Aid: alcohol swabs, Band-Aids, nail clippers, Neosporin, etc. Food: gift cards to grocery stores or restaurants; non-perishable, non-cook, easy open food; Toiletries: baby wipes, deodorant, hand-sanitizer or anti-bacterial lotion, shampoo and body wash, tooth brush with cap, tooth paste, washcloth, Other: CTA passes, socks, survival wrap, t-shirt, leisure items (short stories, crosswords, etc.) Please deliver the Blessings Bags to Catholic Charities at 721 North LaSalle Street on Monday or Tuesday before noon.
