Opportunity Details
Open House Chicago 2018
Catholic Charities is excited to be chosen to participate in this year’s Architecture Foundation Open House Chicago weekend!
This dynamic weekend event allows people to go behind the scenes at 200 of Chicago’s iconic buildings – including three Catholic Charities locations:
- St. Louise Marillac Chapel on the third floor of our River North headquarters (721 N. LaSalle)
- Father Augustus Tolton Peace Center (5645 W. Corcoran)
- Peace Corner Youth Center (5022 W. Madison)
Volunteers are needed to greet attendees and welcome them to the site. Please note a simple fact sheet about the building will be provided but you are not required nor is it necessary to know the history of the building or agency. This event is truly an “open house” and no set tours are given, but guests are welcome to spend time in the building and learn more about Catholic Charities.
Volunteers will be given a free Open House Chicago t-shirt and a priority access pass to use at other sites throughout the weekend. For more information about Open House Chicago, visit https://openhousechicago.org/
