Waukegan Garden Volunteers
Do you have a green thumb? Do you want to help provide nourishing fresh vegetables to our needy neighbors in Lake County?
We are looking for small groups of 2-5 people to work with our Master Gardner in our 16 raised bed vegetable garden. Each group will select a 3-week period to tend to the garden. Wednesday morning of the first week, the group will meet with our Master Gardner to learn what will need to be done over the coming weeks. You will be planting, watering, weeding, and picking the vegetables once they are ripe. At least one member of the group will then need to come each Monday, Wednesday and Thursday to tend to the garden. Mornings are best, but afternoons can be done as well. This is a great opportunity for families, groups of friends and students.
The garden is located at our Waukegan Office, 671 S Lewis Ave, Waukegan, 60085. Express interest and let tell us which 3-week schedule works best for you.

- July 12 - July 30
- Aug 2 - Aug 20
- Aug 23 - Sep 10
- Sep 13 - Oct 1
Age Minimum (with Adult): 12+, Minimum Age:15+
