As a food pantry, we rely heavily on volunteers to be able to serve our clients. Volunteers are the
of our pantries.
Are you passionate about helping others? Do you enjoy shopping? Combine both and become a volunteer at Catholic Charities’ West Region Food Pantry to help with Client's Choice. Help clients navigate thru our food pantry, while helping them make their own food choices. Opportunities are available for individuals or groups to become Personal Shoppers, Stock Person, or Baggers. Jobs will be assigned to each volunteer on the day.

JOB Descriptions
INTAKE (2 needed)
Interviews clients to update and input client information into Link2Feed app. Not required, but helpful, Bilingual (Spanish speaking).
SHOPPERS (3 needed)
Will help assist clients with picking selected food items from shelves. Assists clients with questions they may have on food items. Help with moving the flow of traffic so clients do not get backed up or held up in isles. Be prepared to stand for duration of the service, move around, bend, and lift up to 5 lbs.
MEAT/PRODUCE BAGGER (2 needed)
Will bag freezer, refrigerator items and produce. Be prepared to stand for duration of the service, move around, bend, handle food items and lift up to 5 lbs.
STOCK PERSON/RUNNER (1 needed)
Will help keep shelves replenished as clients pull food items. Carry client's groceries up the stairs, exit. Must be able to lift up to 30lbs and bend down.

DRESS ATTIRE
Casual and comfortable; slacks or jeans. Women: No low cut revealing blouses. No t-shirt with profanity. Safe closed toe footwear is a must.

Parking is available in the in the lot located at the corner of 15th and Austin Blvd.

COVID
***All staff, volunteers and clients have COVID screenings (including temperature checks) before entering the building, and facemasks are required inside the building.
