WHAT TO EXPECT:

Your team or group can help combat food insecurity in Chicagoland by making bagged lunches which will be distributed to the community. This is a great opportunity for team building and bonding. Assemble 100 to 200 bagged lunches including a deli sandwich, packaged drink, and snack/dessert. This opportunity can be completed in downtown Chicago or in Round Lake, Lake County by reserving our community kitchens or in your own space. 

 

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE:

All volunteers must adhere to health and safety requirements, including wearing gloves while serving or handling food. Free parking for volunteers is available. 

 

LOCATIONS:

  • St. Vincent Center community kitchen (downtown Chicago) - 721 N LaSalle, Chicago
  • Schreiber Center community kitchen (Lake County) - 101 N Cedar Lake, Round Lake 

 

GROUPS: 

Corporate and organizational groups, parishes and churches, and schools are welcome to serve in Loaves and Fishes. To schedule your group, please contact us volunteer@catholiccharities.net.
