Youth Mentor
Would you like to help a local youth? Would you like an excuse to be a kid again? Become a youth mentor! Catholic Charities is currently recruiting mentors to work with 9-12 year-olds in Lake County. Studies show that volunteering a just a few hours a week can have a lifelong impact on a young person. If you are at least 21 years old and are willing to commit just 2 hours a week for a year, you are strongly encouraged to apply.
Mentoring can be fun and flexible. Once you’ve been matched, you develop a schedule and plan activities that work best for you and your mentee. Due to the pandemic, your interactions will be a combination of in-person and virtual. We will provide you with ideas and support to help you find the best way to connect with your mentee. Quarterly events that include other mentors and mentees are available too.
