WHAT TO EXPECT:

Support families as they settle into long-term or transitional homes. Provide cooked meals, create home good baskets, or sponsor move-in kits for families embarking on a new chapter of safety, stability, and security. 

KNOW BEFORE YOU SERVE:

Welcome Home supports moms and families moving into long-term or transitional homes. These Catholic Charities clients may be impacted by domestic violence or abuse, strained financial circumstances, or other vulnerabilities. Confidentiality is essential for all volunteers serving with Welcome Home. 

REQUIREMENTS TO SERVE:

  • Complete volunteer registration here before beginning service.

  • Complete the background check form by expressing interest below.

AGE RESTRICTIONS:

The minimum age to serve is 18 years old.

LOCATION:

Cook and Lake Counties

To protect clients, the specific location and schedule will be shared with volutneers after background check clearance is confirmed.
